7 Must Have Tools For Social Listening

Social media gives business owners the power to read their customers minds… kind of. With over half the world’s population using social media, its easier now than ever to tap into the conversations your customers are having and learn from them. How is that possible? Social listening!

What is it?

Social listening is the act of using social media to monitor digital conversations for customer discussions about any specific keywords, topics, or industries, and using the results to act on those discussions.

It’s a two-part process:

1.      Using social media to find mentions of your brand or keywords related to your business

2.      Use the information you received to create an action.

For example, if there are beauty lovers talking about how much they want a specific shade of bronzer or that they wish that there’s kit for lash care, you can use these ideas for new product offers or if you already offer these products, you could join the conversation and direct them to your website.

Why is it Important?

Social listening gives you a peak into your customers wants, needs, frustrations, and thoughts about what they think of your business.

The feedback provided by customer can lead to more products and services that your customers want.

It puts you in a space where you can engage with your customer, manage issues before they blow up into a huge crisis, you can also see what your competitors are doing, and find new customers.
